Title: Accounting Clerk
Reports to: Accounting Lead
Location: St-Laurent, QC
Position status: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: 38-40K annually

Responsibilities:
• Analyze potential acquisitions, help with due diligence period and establish early integration plans
• Preparing and recording the posting of journal entries
• Enter financial transactions into internal databases
• Check spreadsheets for accuracy
• Maintain digital and physical financial records
• Review and file payroll documents
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits
• Renegotiate costs on various levels (one time and recurring costs)
• Participate in the improvement of existing accounting processes and internal controls
• Improve the efficiency of existing procedures to a standardize method
• Assist in ensuring new Operations policy changes are implemented and followed
• Create and update expense reports
• Process reimbursement forms
• Prepare bank deposits
• Carry out a variety of bookkeeping functions
• Communicate and report all financial results to upper management
• Prepare recommendations to upper management
• Supervise the preparation of year-end statements and files for the audit
• Ensure complete, accurate and relevant Balance Sheet account reconciliations are completed on a timely basis
• Monitor and track account variances and ensure timely resolution

Requirements:
• Bachelor in Commerce or related field
• 1-3 years of experience of work related experience
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point) proficiency required
• Basic SAP knowledge
• Highly organized and efficient
• Attention to detail, proactive, flexible and dynamic with strong organizational skills
• Strong hold on Financial Management
• Highly analytical with excellent negotiation abilities
• Great communicator in both French and English. Additional languages are an asset
• Communicate effectively and professionally at all times
• Deliver clear and concise information
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be a team player.
• Autonomous with the ability to work independently under general instructions
• Capacity to work under pressure with the ability to balance multiple priority-based and time-based tasks simultaneously
