STATUS: Contract with the possibility of permanency

TARGET START DATE: Immediate - April 2021

LOCATION: Montreal, QC

TERRITORY: Greater Montreal and surrounding areas
NOTE: Must have access to your own reliable vehicle and an impeccable driving record

COMPENSATION PKG.: Competitive base salary, commission structure and paid mileage

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: This position will require local and other business travel, circumstances permitting

Our client is building a construction materials marketplace that connects top construction professionals with local retailers and suppliers. Their online platform makes it easy for builders to order and receive the materials they need to finish projects on-time and on-budget. With delivery as fast as two hours, Our client has become a valuable tool for construction professionals that want to build faster, smarter and more efficiently.

About The Role:

You are responsible for achieving outstanding partner satisfaction and manage the day to day Building Supplier focused sales account management mandate of the Company.

You will have a strong understanding of the big and bulky retail and wholesale (trade) construction industry in your market and you know the value of reliable, cost effective movement of materials to and from the job site.

What your day will look like:

You will on-board suppliers in the Montreal area to the Company's marketplace.
Once a relationship is secured, you will fully nurture the partnership with on-going account management consisting of supplier training, promotion and merchandising efforts.

You will acquire and develop new business (roughly 40% of the role) and maintain existing supplier relationships to encourage the adoption/usage in your designated area (roughly 60% of the role).

Build solid relationships; qualify additional potential; schedule sales/demo appointments for suppliers stemming from national partnerships and inside sales leads.
Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the complaint, determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem.
Maintain supplier records by updating account information in Salesforce
Collaborate/coordinate with logistics delivery providing constructive feedback of the region to identify service opportunities;
Be comfortable resolving supplier inquiries/complaints via phone, email and in person visits where permissible for safety concerns

You are a strong candidate if you:

Are proficient in French and English, both spoken and written.
Have 3+ years sales/account management experience
Possess a Bachelor's degree
Construction and/or logistics industry experience would be considered an asset.
Have exceptional ability to multitask through various communications channels, CRM, chat, phone, email;
Have the ability to be proactive and oversee/overcome upcoming challenges;
Have great verbal communication and writing skills and ability to use positive language;
Have the ability to make hard and fast decisions within a data driven environment;
Possess exceptional time management planning and prioritization skills.
Have the ability to work in collaboration with other cross functional teams;
